July and August – 2017 Prayer Letter – pdf

Dear Brethren,

Greetings and peace in the name of our eternal God, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.As always, we thank our Lord Jesus Christ for taking us on this glorious journey, a journey of endless joy, speaking to our hearts, answering the call that he has given us and accepted the mission that is ahead of us to do His work according to His ways and will.

As we press on this glorious journey, the months of July and August also have been a blessing and very productive and some setback. Praise the Lord!

We were in South Carolina until August 17. The first church that we visited on July 2 in the morning was Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington, SC , Pastor Steve Cummins, he  allowed us to give our testimony and he also invited us back on September 10, 2017; In the evening we were at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lexington, SC, Pastor Dickson Beam, he also allowed us to share briefly what we are doing and we are planning to go back in November of this year; then we headed on to Greenville, SC where the Lord blessed us with a place to stay until the 15th at our previous Pastors’ home when we were in New York City at Faith Baptist Church; we visited Zion Hill Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, Pastor Danny Moore on Wednesday July 5th, he invited us back for a mission conference in September on the 11 and 12;  we were at Unity Baptist Church in Greenville, SC , Pastor J. We were supposed to stay there until the 31st of July, but my wife, unfortunately, got very sick so we had to go back to Virginia the morning of the 21st of July. On July 12, we visited Carolina Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC, Pastor Marc Williamson, he invited us back the following Wednesday the 19 to present and preach. We were supposed to go to other churches in Taylors, SC, Pastor John Monroe, on July 23rd ; Iglesia Bautista de la Fe in Greenville, SC, Pastor Dan Vasquez on the 26th; White Horse Baptist Church on the 30th in Greenville, SC, Pastor Mark Alexander and other churches in Walterboro, SC until the 6th of August, but was not possible due to my wife’s sickness;

We went back to South Carolina on the 8th of August for more meetings and visiting churches until the 17th of August. We were at Welch Creek Baptist Church in Walterboro, SC, Pastor James H. Baker on August the 9th where we also stayed at their prophet chamber until August 17th, he allowed us to speak about our vision and burden for Costa Rica and invited us back next March 2018; also he invited us to come to Camp meeting next year in April from the 16th to the 19th.  We had a Jubilee Conference at Life Baptist Church in St Stephen, SC, Pastor Alfred Willis in August from the 11th  through the 13th, 2017, he also allowed to us speak about our calling and vision for Costa Rica, and invited us back in April 2018; we also went to Victory Baptist Church in Charleston, SC, Pastor Greg Powell, he also allowed us to speak and invited us back next April 2018, the exact date to be confirmed.

After we headed on to Braselton, GA for our interview with Macedonia World Baptist Missions which was on the 18th of August which went very well. Praise the Lord! He is in control. While we were there, we visited Jackson County Baptist Church in the morning, Pastor Jack Lawson, he invited us back next September 2018 for their Mission Conference; in the evening we went Cross Roads Baptist Church, Pastor Kenneth Kuykendall, he also invited us for their Mission Conference next November 2018. While we were at Macedonia World Baptist Missions, we participated in their 50th Annual Conference which was held at Corinth Baptist Church, Loganville, GA, Pastor Tom Foskey, which was also Corinth’s Baptist Church Mission Conference from the 27th to 30th of August. What a blessing, Glory to God, Praise the Lord, Praise His Holy Name!!

We continue praising the Lord for His protection (physical and spiritual) and provision (He knows all our needs) as well as the wisdom that He gives us to do His work. We also praise the Lord that He gives us our health so we can serve Him with all our strength, to adore Him in spirit and in truth with all our hearts, and to glorify Him in everything that we do. The Lord is Good!

As we press on, please continue to pray for the following prayer request, my wife’s physical need with her varicose veins and blood circulation as we traveled. Also a special request, we need to be on the field by January 2019, Lord willing. We pray that the Lord will move the hearts of His people to make this happen. We humbly plead to all the churches we have presented, and not supporting us at the moment, to pray, consider and reconsider in encouraging us with support.

  • Support Levels

        Continue to pray as we are on this deputation journey that the Lord will guide us to the right church and have favor along the way in order to obtain our support as soon as possible according to the Lord’s will. Carolina Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC; Corinth Baptist Church in Loganville, GA took us on for support and also an anonymous supporter.  As of now, with the new supports, we are about 40%. Praise the Lord!! Our minds, our hearts and our spirits are in Costa Rica but our bodies are still here. Our Lord is a sovereign, omniscient and omnipotent God.

  • Safety with Travels

Pray that our Lord, God would protect us on the road. The second week of September from the 9th to 18th we will be going back to South Carolina for meetings and conferences; we will be in Northern Virginia and Georgia from the 1st through the 13th of November.

  • Schedule of Meetings

Pray that our schedule will be full for the rest of this year. So far the Lord has blessed with other meetings in VA, GA, and SC. Our schedule is not full, but praise the Lord for what He is doing, He is in control! For now, the Lord is opening doors for more meetings and conferences next year in GA, SC, NC, and VA.

  • Softness of Attitudes

        Pray that our hearts would stay soft, to have a humble attitude, to stay close to God, and focus on Him. Also for the churches that we have been in contact with. Praise the Lord for everything! To God be the Glory, great things He has done, that He is doing and what He will do as we focus our eyes and hearts upon Him.

Thank you for your faithful prayers, kindness and love, but most of all for your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit of God whom dwells in you.
