May 2018 – Prayer Letter

Dear Beloved Brethren,

Greetings and peace and love in the name of our eternal God, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As always, we thank our Lord Jesus Christ for taking us on this glorious journey, a journey of endless joy, speaking to our hearts, answering the call that he has given us and accepted the mission that is ahead of us to do His work according to His ways and will.

As we keep on pressing on this glorious journey, the month of May has been a blessing and productive as well. One more church have partnered with us. Glory to God, Praise the Lord, Praise His Holy Name!

From the 1st of May to the 14th, we were in Wilmington and Jacksonville, North Carolina for meetings. On the 1st, we had the privilege to present our ministry and preached at Faith Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC, Pastor Frank Hackworth (the oldest Preacher in the area of Wilmington, NC); then on the 6th of May, in the morning, we were at Bible Baptist Church, Wilmington, NC, Pastor Dave Robinette, we also had the privilege to share our calling, vision and burden as well; Pastor Robinette was under the preaching of Pastor Jim Bledsoe, a graduate of Tabernacle Baptist Institute when Pastor Rod Bell was there; and also a good friend of Brother Bill Hill, who also was a member at Tabernacle Baptist Church when Pastor Rod Bell was there. In the evening of the 6th of May, we went to Peace Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC, Pastor Rudy Shepard. Pastor Shepard was very gracious in allowing us to speak and share our calling, vision and burden as well. We were truly blessed with the time we spent together while we were there. On Wednesday the 9th of May, we were at Fellowship Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC, Pastor Arnold Griffin; I was honored to preach that night  and what a blessing it was to bless the people of God and be blessed as well. On Friday evening the 11th of May we headed to Jacksonville, NC to Maranatha Baptist Church, Pastor Jon McConkey, Saturday morning we went door to doors passing out track and visiting people to church, Sunday the 13th of May, Mother’s Day, I was an honored to speak that morning to the Teens, to preach and share our calling, vision and burden to the congregation that evening as we were blessed. It was our first time in Wilmington and Jacksonville, NC, we were truly blessed during the time we were there. On Monday the 14th, we headed back to Virginia Beach before heading out again the following weekend. On Wednesday the 16th, we went to our home church as it was the first day for the Mission Conference 2018 and we spent time fellowshipping with the brethren. Friday the 18th, we left for Georgia for the Birthday of our daughter and grandkids; and to go to Calvary Baptist Church in Loganville, Pastor Johnnie Crawford that Sunday for a visit, but Saturday I pulled a muscle in my back and could not move for two days; by Tuesday I felt much better because we needed to be on the road to go to Pickens, SC for meetings from the 23rd to the 30st of May. On Wednesday the 23rd, we were at Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Dan Posey for a meeting which went very well. Praise the Lord! On Sunday morning the 27th, we visited Concord Baptist Church, Pastor Guy Roberts in Pickens, SC. I had the privilege to teach the Adult Sunday School Class and Pastor Roberts invited us back in September for a formal presentation; in the evening we went to Fairview Baptist Church, Pastor David Lambert in Pickens, SC. Pastor Lambert took the time at length to introduce us and our ministry and he invited us back to present our ministry in September of this year. On Wednesday the 30th of May, we visited Bible Baptist Church also in Pickens, SC, Pastor Mark Dibler. Pastor Dibler was very gracious in allowing me to present our ministry. On Thursday the 31st of May we headed on to Wilson, Charlotte, and Rockwell, NC for meetings of which we will go into details in our next prayer letter for June.

We continue praising the Lord for His protection (physical and spiritual) and provision (He knows all our needs) as well as the wisdom that He gives us to do His work. We also praise the Lord that He continues to give us our health so we can serve Him with all the strength that He gives us, to adore Him in spirit and in truth with all our hearts, and to glorify Him in everything that we do, even in sickness. The Lord is so Good!

As we press on, please continue to pray for the following prayer request, my wife’s physical need with her blood circulation as we traveled. Also, it is our goal to be on the field between January and June 2019. We are planning to go next January or February to look for a place to live, as well the property for the ministry, and Lord willing move sometime in the spring! We pray that the Lord will move the hearts of His people to make this happen. We humbly plead to all the churches we have presented, and not supporting us at the moment, to pray, consider and reconsider in encouraging us with support. Beloved, this is God’s work and His ministry not ours; we are servants doing the work of the Almighty God and obeying the Great Commission by Answering the Call and Accepting the Mission that is ahead of us.

  • Support Levels

Continue to pray as we are on this glorious deputation journey that the Lord will guide us to the right church and have favor along the way in order to obtain our support as soon as possible according to the Lord’s will. We are now at 60% and we pray that it will be more by our next prayer letter. Unity Baptist Church in Greenville, SC Pastor J Earl Green took us on for support.  Praise the Lord, Glory to God! We keep pressing on that goal for our minds, our hearts and our spirit are in Costa Rica but our bodies are still here. Our Lord is a Sovereign God.

  • Safety with Travels

Pray that our Lord, God would protect us on the road.

In June we will be in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia; July in Florida and Georgia; August in Georgia and Virginia; September in Florida, Virginia, Georgia and South Carolina; October in North Carolina and Georgia; November in Georgia and Virginia; in December, it’s still open and I don’t know what the Lord has in mind.

  • Schedule of Meetings

Pray that our schedule will be full with formal meetings and conferences for the rest of the year. The Lord has blessed with meetings and conferences in VA, NC, SC, GA and FL. Our schedule is not full, but praise the Lord for what He is doing in our lives. He is in control! For now, the Lord is still opening doors for more meetings and conferences in these states. The meeting of which I mentioned in our previous letter in Cleveland, TN did not materialized.

  • Softness of Attitudes

Pray that our hearts would stay soft, to have a humble attitude, to stay close to God, and focus on Him not on men neither our circumstances; also for the churches that we have been in contact with and presented. We are excited to see on how the Lord will be working during the rest of the year, we are also encouraged and at the same time comforted by His provision, protection and peace. Praise the Lord for everything! To God be the Glory, great things He has done, that He is doing and what He will do as we focus our eyes and hearts upon Him.

Thank you for your faithful prayers, kindness and love, but most of all for your sensibility to the Holy Spirit of God whom dwells in you. We are still waiting for the doctors’ bill and expecting another miracle. The Lord has answered our prayers regarding the hospital bill.  Hallelujah, Praise His Holy Name, He is good, so good!

We are deeply grateful for your continued prayers, financial support and being behind our vision to further the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Brethren, may the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the love of the Almighty God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen!
